Sending Thank You Notes Never Gets Old

My business life revolves around email, texting and my computer.  It’s so easy to rely on electronic methods for all our communication with clients and colleagues.  We communicate on social media and digitally so often we forget the joy one feels when receiving a card in the mail.  It’s so much better than an Evite, right?

Yesterday was a “thank you” kind of day for me.  I had a lunch with a referral partner and had a gift for her for a lovely referral she gave me last summer. I also sent a welcome card to a new client to tell them how excited I am to work with them.

When we express gratitude for others it changes our own outlook on life.  Or at least that has been my experience.  I keep a log of thank you cards sent in my G Drive and update it with each entry.  I usually send a 2-4 thank you cards to clients a month. Put your own branding front and center with cards designed just for you. (Thanks, Lindsay Fournier)

If you haven’t sent a great client or colleague a card lately, do it this week.  See how it improves your outlook on your business and the future.  See if you can send a card a month.  The attitude of gratitude can enrich your life.

P.S.  Sis, if you read this, I know I owe you a million thank you cards!
