WebCami Cafe, One Year Later
My WebCami Cafe anniversary date came and went in early February. I planned to post about it, but then it snowed like crazy in February and my month was thrown into scheduling chaos. I wanted to do this post with a little time to reflect on what I’ve learned over the last year.
My intentions in starting this website were to bring together web designers in a Facebook group for support. I wanted to share how I have built my business from a mom-hobby to a successful one person company in a major city. I wanted people to collaborate and find community. I wanted to create a space for newbies and seasoned pros alike.
I’m happy to say I feel like I accomplished a good foundation for this in my first year. What I didn’t expect was the genuine friendship growth that would happen along the way. I love the comradery I see between all of you!
I also didn’t expect to get used to writing on a more regular basis. I’m not exceptional at grammar and editing and have Lisa to thank for proofing me on occasion. It’s helped to use Grammarly and to just write anyway. Just practicing the art of blogging has been a huge help to me. This is my 85th blog post! I am really happy about that.
Most of all, I have to thank each and every one of you for being here. For participating in our group, for answering each other’s questions, for being so supportive of each other.
If this were a real coffee shop, I would love to go there each day to co-work with all of you.
